Summary:
To look at the map we do not ask you for any data: there are no accounts or registration, we do not set cookies, there is no advertising and we do not track you across websites. That is why you will not see a cookie banner.
We only process personal data when you send it to us: when you request a quote in «T’ho solucionen», write to the «Ask the guide» mailbox, register a shop, report a change, use the neighbourhood passport or take part in the photography competition. Each case is explained below.
1. Who the controller is
- Controller
- JR INTERNATIONAL SOUND, S.L. (JRIS Productions) · CIF B56303043
- Registered address
- Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 246, 6-1 · 08004 Barcelona
- Contact
- derechos@jrisproductions.com
2. What is stored on your phone, and only there
Your browser stores the map pages and the data files on your device, so that it works quickly and without signal. It also remembers your preferences: the places you save with ★, the layers you switch on or off in the Legend, whether you have already closed the installation notice and, if you use the passport, a random identifier for your passport (it does not carry your name).
That stays on your phone. It is technical storage necessary for the service you request, so it does not require prior consent (article 22.2 of the LSSI (Spanish Information Society Services and E-commerce Act)). To delete it, clear the site data from your browser settings or remove the app from your home screen.
3. The «I’m here» button and «Directions»
If you tap «I’m here», your browser asks for permission to use your location. It is used within your device to centre the map and sort what is near you: it is neither stored nor shared.
If you ask for a route in «Directions», the starting point and the destination (only the coordinates, with nothing that identifies you) are sent to our server, which calculates the route. For public transport, our server requests it from the HERE routing service (HERE Global B.V., the Netherlands). No history of your routes is kept.
4. What the server logs and usage measurement
Like any website, the server that hosts guiadebarri.cat automatically records each request: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type and the website you came from, if any.
- Purpose: keeping the service up and running, detecting errors and attacks.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security and operation of the site (article 6.1.f of the RGPD (EU General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR)).
- How long: as long as the hosting provider keeps it for security purposes, and no longer than necessary.
- Who processes it: IONOS, the hosting provider, as data processor, with servers in the European Union.
In addition, we count, without cookies and without identifying anyone, how many visits there are and which map features are used (for example, how many times a listing is opened). It is an aggregate count: it cannot be used to find out who you are. There is no Google Analytics and no third-party tools that track you.
5. When you send us data
Requesting a quote in «T’ho solucionen»
- What data: your name, your phone number and/or email, and what you need.
- Purpose: passing your request on to the shop you have chosen and, afterwards, finding out whether it replied to you. Each request carries a code so that the shop knows you come from Guia de Barri.
- Who it is disclosed to: only to that shop, and only if you have ticked the box that allows it. The shop uses it solely to reply to your request.
- Legal basis: your consent (article 6.1.a of the RGPD), which you can withdraw whenever you wish.
- Where it is stored: on the jrisproductions.com server, belonging to JRIS Productions, and in the derechos@jrisproductions.com mailbox.
- How long: while the request is being handled and up to one year afterwards; it is then deleted.
«Ask the guide» mailbox (complaints, suggestions, recommendations and questions)
- What data: the type of message, the shop if you specify it, what you write and, only if you want a reply, your email.
- Purpose: reading your message, replying to you if you leave an email and improving the guide. It is not published. If it is a recommendation or a complaint about a shop, the team may pass the content on to the shop without your data.
- Legal basis: your consent (article 6.1.a of the RGPD), which you give by ticking the box and can withdraw whenever you wish.
- Where it is stored: on the jrisproductions.com server and in the derechos@jrisproductions.com mailbox. Each message carries a code.
- How long: one year; after that it is deleted automatically.
Questions that «Ask the guide» does not understand
When the guide does not understand a question, we store only the text of the question, the language and the date, in order to teach it to answer. Your IP address and anything that identifies you are not stored, and if you write an email address or a phone number in the question, it is deleted before the question is stored. It is kept for six months. For that reason, do not write personal data in your questions.
Registering a shop or signing it up to «T’ho solucionen»
- What data: the shop’s details (name, address, phone, website, what it does) and those of the contact person.
- Purpose: checking the registration, calling to verify it and publishing the shop’s listing on the map. The shop details you agree to publish appear on the map; the email and the contact person do not.
- Legal basis: your registration request and, if you take out a contract, the performance of the contract.
- How long: while the shop is in the guide and, afterwards, the applicable statutory periods.
Reporting a change to a listing
- What data: what you tell us and, if you wish, a contact so we can ask you questions.
- Purpose: checking the report before publishing anything. Basis: your request. It is deleted once the report has been resolved.
Neighbourhood passport
- What data: your passport’s random identifier and the stops you have stamped, with the date. We do not ask for a name or email.
- Purpose: saving your stamps and knowing how many people do each route (only as overall totals).
Photography competition «El comercio de mi barrio» (“The shop in my neighbourhood”)
Data and photos are processed in accordance with the competition rules: they are stored in Google Drive (Google), which acts as the service provider.
If you write to us
If you send an email to derechos@jrisproductions.com, we will process your address and what you tell us for the sole purpose of replying to you and handling your request.
6. Who the data is disclosed to
To the shop from which you request a quote, only with your consent. And to our technology providers, which process the data on our behalf: hosting (IONOS and the jrisproductions.com host), email, HERE for public transport routes and Google Drive for the competition. Google may process data outside the European Union with the safeguards of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Beyond that, to the authorities when a legal provision requires it. We do not sell or transfer data for advertising purposes.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of or objection to processing and portability, and withdraw your consent whenever you wish, by writing to derechos@jrisproductions.com. We reply within one month at most.
If you believe we have not dealt with your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (Spanish Data Protection Agency) (aepd.es).
8. Minors
The forms that send data are for people over 14, and the photography competition is for people over 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors under those ages.
9. If any of this changes
If we add a new processing activity, this page will be updated before it is put into operation. If consent needs to be requested, it will be requested.
