1. Who is behind this website

2. What guiadebarri.cat is

It is a map of the shops, pharmacies, defibrillators and health centres of Catalonia, organised by comarca and municipality and, in Barcelona, by neighbourhood and district. It is free, does not require registration and can be added to your phone’s home screen to be consulted offline.

All shops appear on the map. They can register for free (Registration) to complete their listing and purchase content and visibility (Commercial visibility and Spotlight & media). What has been purchased is indicated on the listing; the rest of the map works the same for everyone.

What cannot be bought: the «Comerç de barri · Recomanat» seal, the Top 5 and the Photo of the Month are decided by a jury or a Guia de Barri committee using published criteria. No shop can pay for them.

T’ho solucionen: shops marked as «Verified» have signed up and the team has checked by phone what they do. The other results appear according to their type of shop and are labelled «according to the type of shop»: it is advisable to confirm before going.

3. Terms of use

Using this website is free and does not require registration. By using it you undertake:

• Not to use it for unlawful purposes or to harm the service or third parties.
• Not to extract the content in bulk by automated means or reuse it as your own database.
• Not to impersonate a shop or submit false information when claiming or correcting a listing.

We may suspend access for anyone who breaches the above, and modify, extend or withdraw any part of the service.

4. Where the data comes from

This website does not invent the data: it takes it from public sources and cites them.

• Shops, streets and buildings: OpenStreetMap and its contributors, under the ODbL licence.
• Shops and premises: Census of ground-floor premises with economic activity of Barcelona City Council, CC BY 4.0 licence.
• Barcelona buildings and number of floors: Dirección General del Catastro (Directorate-General for the Cadastre).
• Defibrillators: official register of external defibrillators of the Departament de Salut (Health Department) of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
• Shops and activities in the rest of the province of Barcelona: Cens d’activitats municipal amb establiment (GIA) (municipal census of activities with premises) of the Diputació de Barcelona, published on Dades Obertes de Catalunya (Catalonia Open Data).
• Health centres, emergency services and hospitals outside Barcelona: Equipaments de Catalunya (Facilities of Catalonia), Generalitat de Catalunya.
• Municipal and comarca boundaries: OpenStreetMap, ODbL licence.
• Districts and neighbourhoods: official territorial division of Barcelona City Council.

Citing these sources is an obligation under their licences and does not imply that any of those bodies takes part in, sponsors or endorses this project.

5. The limits of the information

The data is collected from the sources above and may be incomplete or out of date: a shop may have closed, or changed its opening hours or phone number, without the source reflecting it yet. It is published as it stands, with no guarantee of accuracy.

Accessibility: the step-free entrance filter shows the shops for which that information is recorded in the source. A shop not appearing in the filter does not mean that it is not accessible: it means that the information has not been recorded.

Demonstration mode: some listings include an example of what an extended listing would look like, with dishes, prices or promotions. That content is clearly marked as an example, is made up and does not correspond to the shop’s actual offer.

To the extent permitted by law, JR INTERNATIONAL SOUND, S.L. accepts no liability for damage arising from the use of the published information, from interruptions to the service or from failures beyond its control.

6. Intellectual property

The design, code, texts, icons and the way the information is presented are the property of JR INTERNATIONAL SOUND, S.L., except for the third-party data cited in section 4, which is governed by its licences.

The names, trade marks and logos of the shops belong to their owners and appear solely to identify them.

You may freely link to any page of this website. Reproducing it within another website or presenting it as your own is not authorised.

7. Links to other websites

Some listings link to websites of shops or third parties. Those sites are not ours: we do not control their content or their privacy policies, and linking to them does not mean we recommend them.

8. Correcting or claiming a listing

If an item of information is incorrect, if you are the owner of the shop and want to update it, or if you want us to stop showing the listing, write to derechos@jrisproductions.com stating the name and address of the establishment. We will reply, even if only to say no.

If the information comes from OpenStreetMap, as well as correcting it here it is advisable to correct it at source, because other services take it from there.

9. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals of Barcelona, unless the law applicable to consumers establishes a different jurisdiction.

This notice may be updated when the service or the regulations change. The date of the last update is shown above.
